As Joe Biden mercifully enters the waning days of his Presidency, commentators and observers are beginning to take stock of the past four years. Just like most one-term Presidents, he will leave office with an abysmally low approval rating, currently hovering around 38%. In some ways, he doesn’t feel horrendously unpopular, as corporate media is still defending this sorry sack of shit right up until the bitter end, but we should expect nothing less from those corrupt hacks. When attempting to take a dispassionate view of a politician’s record, the truth always lies somewhere in the middle. Unfortunately for Joe Biden, the bad far outweighs any arguable good.
Let’s start with the economy. I think it’s safe to say that Joe Biden’s stewardship of the economy has been underwhelming, at best. He began his term back in 2021 with COVID in retreat. People were chomping at the bit to re-enter a normal world. In fact, a V-shaped economic recovery was already underway, even before Biden was inaugurated. Alas, he wanted an FDR-style policy achievement and proceeded to ram a pork-filled “American Rescue Plan” down the throats of voters. While there were some bells and whistles that were appealing to your average normie, we did not need all this extra spending. Predictably, the country shortly underwent inflationary troubles, of which we are still struggling to this very day. Inflation will go down as Biden’s primary economic contribution to the country, as it was a drag for millions upon millions of Americans over the past four years. Despite Biden’s gaslighting that the economy was firing on all cylinders, voters didn’t buy the hype, because their lived experiences told the true tale of the country’s stagnancy and malaise.
Similarly, Biden’s jobs market wasn’t much to write home about either. Regardless of proclamations that this was the greatest jobs Presidency ever, a little digging reveals the misleading and shameless nature of such claims. While Biden loves to boast about creating over 16 million jobs since the start of his term, it’s laughable on its face. First of all, most of those jobs account for re-entry into the workforce after COVID layoffs, meaning those were positions that were going to get filled anyway. In essence, he had an incredibly low baseline with which to begin. Secondly, most of those jobs filled after the post-COVID bump were either seasonal/temporary, or low-quality gig work. In actuality, the only industries that grew during the Biden years were government and healthcare. Finally, most of the misleading jobs reports that led to over-the-top fanfare from the Biden Administration and its corporate media lackeys were quietly revised downward after the fact. Corrupt bureaucrats juiced the numbers to give Biden a news cycle bump, only to reveal the actual results long after their initial publication, when no one was paying attention. It was dishonesty and mendacity at the highest level.
Moving onto immigration and the betrayal becomes even worse. One of Biden’s first acts as President was rescinding his predecessor’s immigration orders, mainly the Remain in Mexico policy, which helped to stem the flow of illegal crossings to some of the lowest levels in recent years. Biden also failed to construct any new barriers on the southern border, meaning many of the porous areas remained open. Additionally, he appointed the notorious open borders zealot Alejandro Mayorkas to lead the Department of Homeland Security, who arguably facilitated this cross-border human trafficking to unimaginable levels. The result of this madness yielded an estimated 10 million illegal crossings over the last four years. No state was spared from the illegal immigration crisis, as many areas far away from the southern border had to deal with an influx of migrants, which greatly strained local resources and frustrated residents.
Perhaps the worst aspect of Biden’s awful tenure was foreign policy. We were promised a deliberate and cautious statesman, but what we got was a trigger-happy fool. As Donald Trump once said during the 2020 cycle, “Joe Biden has been on the wrong side of every foreign policy decision during his entire career.” Those words were beyond prescient and if voters know Biden’s true intent, perhaps the infamous result of 2020 may not have happened. During every single year of the Biden Administration, there had been a calamitous and disastrous foreign policy blunder in some part of the world:
2021: the chaotic and deadly U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, which resulted in the deaths of 13 Marines and countless Afghans
2022: the Russo-Ukraine War, which ultimately wasted billions of American taxpayers dollars and accelerated the collapse of Ukraine as we know it
2023: the Israel-Hamas War stemming from the October 7th Hamas terrorist attacks, followed by the Israeli response in Gaza, leaving thousands of casualties on both sides of the conflict
2024: the collapse of the Assad regime in Syria, leaving a power vacuum in the region and the ascendency of an unknown and sketchy rebel government
Keep in mind, this is just scratching the surface. I can go on describing the incompetence of the abominable Biden-Harris Administration, but I’d just be beating a dead horse. These were my major gripes with Biden, and that’s not even addressing energy policy, government weaponization, censorship, and so much more.
In a fitting end to these awful four years, Biden has let the mask slip on his way out, starting with a blanket pardon of his ne’er-do-well son’s crimes over the past 11 years, meaning that the Biden Crime Family will likely get away with their corrupt acts in Ukraine and God knows what else. He also inexplicably granted clemency to some of the worst that humanity has to offer, such as rapists, murders, and terrorists. Furthermore, Biden gave Presidential medals to some of the most horrendous people in politics, such as Liz Cheney, Hillary Clinton, and even George Soros. The depravity is a bridge too far, even for some Democrats. That’s how bad and indefensible some of his final actions have been. The kicker is that there may be more to come in his final week, as the Administration hinted at preemptive pardons for many of the figures that conducted the lawfare and sabotage operations against President-elect Trump, meaning that they will likely get away with their crimes, as well.
Biden’s legacy is that he protected the political establishment, no matter the cost. The breaking of budgets, norms, and even laws were permissible to prop up the rotting and corrupt ruling class, for which he owes his political career. Ironically, that very same establishment, who gave him his career, took it away. Live by the establishment and die by the establishment. Biden was merely a cog in the wheel for the vast majority of his time in politics. He was never supposed to be “the guy,” and yet through many twists of fate, here we are. Thankfully, he will ride off into the political sunset after nearly half a century as an unmitigated failure. His mission of trying to stop Trump and populism at all costs, only for him to be tossed aside by his own party, while setting the table for Trump’s return, is really quite fitting.
As we move on from Biden, Democrats and their corporate media allies will either attempt to memory hole his term, or try and rehabilitate his image years after the fact, like they did for Jimmy Carter. Either way, history won’t be kind to Joe Biden. Once this era of insanity ends, he will likely go down as one of the worst Presidents in American history. I hope 2020 was worth it Joe, because the country can’t wait to see you go.
These are the facts of FJB'S destruction of America. I am not going to elaborate about your well informed article about him. Thank you for the facts of his so called Presidency. FJB and his demonrat administration and party. Thank God President Trump will be back at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave in nine days.
